Interior Finish Carpenter
Cottage Home designs, builds, and cares for exceptional lakefront homes in West Michigan. We have experienced carpenters who will be training and mentoring a talented individual who wants to learn the trade of carpentry.
Role & Responsibilities
• Work of under the direction of our lead carpenters to learn and perform skilled carpentry work.
• Learn the detailed workmanship on custom cabinets, finished carpentry, and other customer inspired ideas.
• Develop skills to design, build, and install custom cabinets, install crown molding, beams, doors, and windows.
Job Requirements & Skill Sets
• A passion to understand and develop a career in the construction industry.
• Finish carpenters need the strength and endurance to carry out physical carpentry tasks. They also need math and problem solving skills to modify products when they need adjusting.
• Key competencies: Attention to detail, dexterity, communication, teamwork, and dependability.

Cleaner
Cottage Home has been offering peace of mind to our homeowners since 2008. Just because the home is done, doesn’t mean we are. We take pride in the homes we have built and have the privilege of cleaning and maintaining. We are looking for an organized, driven individual to join our Property Services team in the cleaning division.
Role & Responsibilities
• Member of the Cottage Home Cleaning crew
• Trained by and reports to Cleaning Manager
• Follows work schedules
• Performs new construction & home cleaning services
• Cleaning (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
• Performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects

Architectural Designer
Cottage Home designs, builds, and cares for exceptional lakefront homes in West Michigan. We are in search of a new team member who is energetic and passionate about residential construction, designing, and drafting.
Role & Responsibilities
• Meet with clients to discuss programming.
• Create design sketches and prepare preliminary designs.
• Lead drafting team by programming and designing cabinet and built-in details.
• Make presentations to clients of both concepts and finished plans.
• Monitors compliance with building codes throughout the construction process.
• Tracks project status to adhere to schedule for project completion and distribution.
• Develop site plan for staking.
• Maintain construction documents and distribute information to sales team, estimating team and construction team.
Job Requirements & Skill Sets
• Significant portfolio of completed homes
• Architectural degree optional
• Architect license optional
